Dallas Wedding Photography: Andrew and Lane

As you all may know, the summer is the time for weddings, and being a Dallas wedding photographer, I absolutely love it! I hang out with cool couples and make memories, it really is (almost) that simple! For Lane and Andrew’s wedding, I tried to sum up their wedding in a few words, so let’s see what happens. How about love, laughter and emotion? Good, but I think it needs more. Maybe love, laughter, and tears?
Ok, I’ve got it. Love, laughter and extensive man tears! I would count the last phrase as a word, not sure if you can do that but it is my blog. With that being the case I will bend and break basic English rules to my will, no worries.

In all seriousness though, Andrew probably had the most emotional response to seeing his bride for the first time that I have seen at a wedding. Considering that I’ve been to my fair share as a Dallas wedding photographer, and have seen quite a few very emotional responses, this says something. He went from overwhelmed to the point of tears all the way to the other end of the spectrum, as he laughed while crying.
It was an amazing display of emotion, and as a Dallas wedding photographer, those are the moments I live for. Now you could poke some fun at Andrew for crying so much, but I think it’s great. I know I sobbed like a small child that just lost his balloon when Aynsley came through those doors, as I was completely in awe of how amazingly beautiful and glowing she was.
Now, Andrew was not the only one expressing his emotion. Lane was certainly not stoic by any means. She had been fighting back tears all day long, and had a major struggle when Andrew sent her his present. The letter with the gift came very close to taking her down, but she stayed strong! Once the ceremony got underway however, all of that went out the beautiful windows of the chapel at Watermark Community Church in Dallas.
As I always try to be a prepared Dallas wedding photographer, I had two remote cameras running up in the balcony, with one trained specifically on Andrew. I had to photograph Lane as she went down the aisle, but wanted to make sure I captured his reaction too. Of course I had no idea he would react so intensely, so I’m very glad I photographed him. I think Lane started crying before they even opened the doors, and there was such electricity once her song signaled it was time to head down the aisle.
Besides making me very happy as a Dallas wedding photographer, it was great to see the couple so in love and so incredibly joyful to be getting married to one another. I have a shot where Andrew is being told he is allowed to kiss his bride, and he is giving a look that says “Really?! Yes!” They kept that energy up throughout the entire night, and had a wonderful reception at CityPlace in Dallas, where their entire crew partied down and danced like there was no tomorrow.
I hope you guys enjoy the images, and make sure to check out our Facebook page tomorrow to see a gallery with tons more photos! Also, if you missed them, go look at Lane’s Dallas bridal portraits and their Dallas Engagement Portraits!
