Dallas Event Photographer, Jacqueline and Phillip's Engagement Party

I had the opportunity to photograph the engagement party for Jacqueline Sewell and Phillip Taylor, and wanted to share a few of the images with you guys. The party was held at the lovely Sewell home in Dallas, and was the perfect place to celebrate the happy couple’s engagement. Todd Events in Dallas asked me to shoot the party for them, and as the Dallas event photographer for the evening, I made my way through the crowd to get tons of party pics, and photograph every detail I could find. Upon arriving for the shoot, my first impression went towards the flowers. There were gorgeous flowers everywhere!

As a Dallas photographer, I am obviously a huge fan of spring, since it means that everything is becoming fresh and beautiful in nature again. The light changes and becomes more golden; everything looks so new and so dramatic. This also means that when I am taking pictures, I can get more of the look I want. Included are a few shots of the flowers, I just couldn’t help myself in getting details of the tulips, which were everywhere you looked outside.

The color was not limited to just the floral. There were multiple trays filled with all kinds of colorful delicacies, with my personal favorite being the sushi presentation. The colors were great, and I liked the way everything was layered together. Being a Dallas event photographer means that I see such creativity from so many types of people, be it florists, caterers or designers, so I always pay close attention to the details of an event to see what fun things are being done. Dallas vendors are always going next level in the event and wedding industry, and it definitely helps to keep a fresh look while I am out and about taking pictures.

As the sun went down, the back yard began to light up and take on an entirely new look. It had been stunning in the daytime with the fresh greenery and color, and made a costume change for the evening, which brought out a very elegant and warm glow to the space. The ambient light was soft and calming, and the weather was perfect for people to be outside, making it a perfect evening all around. This type of setting is great for any Dallas event photographer, as it gives such a great look to the images, just check out the top photo to see!

Of course, the evening’s photography coverage would not have been complete without a picture of the newly engaged couple, so I got Jacqueline and Phillip together to take a few portraits outside to commemorate the occasion. It will be great to see what Todd Events does for their upcoming wedding, and my congratulations to these two, and may you all enjoy the images!
