Boots, Spurs and the Cowboy Church
There is a special place in my heart for cowboy churches. When I was a student in college one of my first photo essays was on a great cowboy church in Waxahachie, Texas. I took on this project for one of my upper level courses at the University of North Texas, which was taught by the great photojournalist Mona Reeder. I spent several months out there and had a great time documenting the church and learning all about the culture.

That may not sound remarkable, but then again, you probably didn’t realize this is the world’s most consumed liquor.
