Dallas Corporate Photographer: Headshots Don't Take A Lot of Time

Dallas Corporate Photographer, Jason Kindig

We’ve all been there, and let’s just say it is not a fun place to be. I’m talking about the place where your car begins making a funny sound. It all begins one day when you think you hear a weird sound as you’re pulling up to a stoplight. Ah, that was nothing, it is all in my head. You drive on listening to the radio and enjoying the drive, and then you slow down for another stoplight. Now, it is clear you have a problem. It is time to pay a visit to your mechanic. Yep, we have all been in this position. Certain sounds are worse than others, and that's where a mechanic comes into the picture. So what does this have to do with a Dallas corporate photographer? Keep reading and you will find out…

A man takes his truck to his mechanic. It has been making a funny noise for a little while now, and he just cannot seem to figure out what or where the noise is coming from. He describes the problem to the mechanic whose listening intently. Once the man has described the noise as best as possible, the mechanic confidently says, I know what the problem is, do you want me to go ahead and fix your car? Relieved the man says “Yes!” The mechanic takes the truck back into his shop and returns a few minutes later. “Well, your car is fixed and ready to go. That will be $150, please.”  The customer is so confused. How did he fix the car so quickly and why is it $150. The mechanic responded, “It wasn’t about the amount of time I spend working on your car. You paid me to know which screw to turn and how much to turn it.”

Sometimes having your headshot taken by your Dallas corporate photographer is like visiting your mechanic. That statement was kind of weird for me to write, but it a way it is true.

Your headshot is your first impression to potential employers, clients and potential customers. Corporate headshots are a big deal, and your Dallas corporate photographer is well aware of this fact. Since your headshot is your first impression, it is important to find a Dallas corporate photographer that can make you look your absolute best.

When it comes time to have your corporate headshot taken this process may not last for very long. It you hire a Dallas corporate photographer who is highly skilled and technically sound, your headshot may not take much time at all. The photographer will come to your office, set up a background or use a backdrop of your choice, prepare the lighting and then be ready to begin taking pictures. Your photographer should be able to show your proofs onsite so that you can make sure you like the way you look. This whole process could take 15 minutes and as little as 5 minutes. Just like in the story of the mechanic, it is not about the time it takes. It is all about hiring the photographer that knows just what lighting, angle, pose and backdrop makes you look your best.

Just like when you hire a knowledgeable mechanic, when you hire a highly skilled Dallas corporate photographer, they will be able to knock out your headshot very quickly. A less skilled photographer will take time fumbling with lighting and their camera trying to get the right look.

A professional with a lot of headshot experience will be able to photograph you quickly and let you get back to work, while they make sure your headshot is professional, high quality and makes you look great!
