Why You Should Never Be Your Own Photographer
When it comes to event photography in Dallas, it is best to hire a professional. Here are four reasons why a Dallas event photographer should be on your list of vendors for your next soiree.
Dallas Event Photographer - I miss events!
There are so many aspects to our lives that were affected by the Coronavirus. As with all of you, I have never experienced such a disruption at any time in my life, and you would have to go back several generations to see anyone that ever lived with something this unbelievable. As we roll through this pandemic, my Dallas event photographer self has taken some time to process several areas in my life, and I have had some revelations, and am also experiencing a much deeper gratitude for things that seemed commonplace before.
It’s Earth Day!
For several years I’ve enjoyed shooting and producing the stills content for Earth Day Texas, now officially known as EarthX. They describe themselves as the “World’s largest environmental expo, conference and film festival.” The event always falls right around the anniversary of Earth Day, and typically draws over 100,000 people over a weekend. My Dallas event photography team and I spread out all over Fair Park to cover the variety of meetings, speakers, exhibitions and film screenings to show how amazing this event is, and the impact they have on people’s mindsets regarding the environment.
Timing is everything!
You know, timing really is everything. I remember several weeks back seeing how the Coronavirus completely disrupted China, and thought to myself, “That will probably hit the US, I should time it to coincide perfectly with my website relaunch.” Or, perhaps I never saw it coming, and just so happened to finish all of the last details on my new site, launch it and then watch the entire U.S. economy grind to a halt.
Dallas Event Photographer: I'm on a Lift!
I often tell my clients that I enjoy a challenge. For a Dallas event photographer, creating a great photo is often like putting a puzzle together: you have to get all of the pieces in place in just the right way, for something great to appear. I enjoy gathering and placing these pieces to make beautiful images. There really is a thrill to the logistical and production side of photography, and so I am always up for whatever a client is looking for!
