These days anyone can be a photographer right? Not necessarily. I know that the common belief is that with all of this great technology at our fingertips anyone can create beautiful images and capture great moments, but the truth is that event photography is an entirely different animal.

With any event, as you probably already know, it is all about the logistics and planning. No matter the event, how big or small it may be, there are manifold details to plan and account for, and the larger the scale, the more moving parts there are. When you decide to book your event photographers in Dallas, they will need to be briefed on a lot of these different parts.

The theme for this particular shoot was spring fashion, which generally means two things. For one, there will be great color to work with, and I love color. The second? Cold weather. Yes, we do in fact have that in Texas, though it may pale in comparison to our northern neighbors. Nevertheless, a model in a light spring dress outside when it is cold and windy can get tricky, and I feel so terrible watching them starting to shiver.

I got my picture with the most interesting man in the world. That’s right, this photographer in Dallas got a grip and grin with that guy, the incredibly cool spokesman from Dos Equis. Now the fact that it was a cardboard cutout is not really of any importance, as he looked real enough. Plus we’d probably be friends anyway if he lived in Dallas.

There is nothing like Christmas.

There are so many parts that make this time of year special, and Aynsley and I really enjoy Christmas time. There are of course so many things, like the dinners, presents, and just the feeling that happens this time of year. We love giving to others whenever we can too, so it is a fun challenge for her and I to get gifts for our family that are personal for them.

I wanted to continue blogging on my recent trip to Ohio, and being the Dallas photographer I am, I will also share some of the images that I took. Last time I spoke about the beautiful fall colors that Aynsley and I got to enjoy, but I wanted to focus this particular blog on my grandfather.
